Nick's eyes flew open as the door to the ladies slammed against the wall beside it. 'Shit!' he thought to himself. He looked at Lindsey. Her face was flushed with what he assumed was embarrassment. She looked at the stall floor. Who the hell was that, and what the hell did they think they were doing by interrupting him when he was about to kiss the first person he had actually WANTED to in awhile. Then, he remembered just where he was. He grinned at his own mistake.
"Where the hell are you two??" Mich called in a singsong voice. "And why was the door unlocked?"
"Because security opened it," Nick sang back.
"Oh. Is-uh- Lindsey in there - with - you?"
"Yeah, you got a problem with that?" he asked.
"No," Mich told him in an accepting voice. "No problem, but we should go soon. I do have to go to work tomorrow. That, and there is some guy waiting for Nick out side the ladies." There was a little giggle from Mich at that statement.
"What? Why would someone be waiting for me?" Nick wondered aloud, moving toward the door.
"They want to kill you!" Mich said in a haunting voice. He heard Lindsey giggle at her friend's joke behind him. Just her laugh suddenly made him feel better, and he smiled. He turned to Lindsey.
"Hey, what are you laughing at?" he asked. Lindsey stopped laughing and looked at the ground.
"Sorry," she muttered. Nick shook his head and headed for the stall door again. He heard his name whispered from behind and he turned toward Lindsey again. She looked up with an almost embarrassed look in her eyes. He lifted a brow and looked at her with a questioning look. Lindsey took a small step toward him, and kissed him lightly on the lips. He was slightly taken aback by this, but was glad she did it. He pulled her closer and deepened the kiss.
"Helloooooo," Mich called. "I said there was someone waiting for you out there. So, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE NOW!!!" Lindsey broke the kiss and Nick groaned, pissed off at Mich. Lindsey tilted her head and smiled, covering her embarrassment well.
"Did Mich mention she had to go to work?" Lindsey asked, conveniently loud enough for Mich to hear. Nick's smile returned as he turned back toward the stall door.
"Yes, DID I mention I have to work tomorrow? I get up at 5:30 in the morning you know!" Mich shouted.
"Fuck, girl, where in hell do you work?" Nick asked, wondering why she got up so early.
"None of your fuckin business!" Mich yelled. "Let's get the fuck out of here!! Fuck!!"
"Okay, fuck," Nick said, getting sick of Mich's attitude. "We'll meet you out in the damn hall, IF THAT'S OKAY WITH YOU!"
"THAT'S GODDAMMED PERFECT!" Mich screamed.
"She's just a little tired," Lindsey informed, putting a hand on Nick's arm, and standing on the toilet to peek over the stall wall. (Hehe, that rhymes) Nick waited to hear the door to the washroom close before talking to Lindsey. He actually felt nervous about asking this.
"Sooouh," he began, trying to sound casual. But really, how casual can you sound when you are a man, trapped in a ladies bathroom (hehehe, get it? man trapped in a ladies body, bathroom? ahh never mind. I thought it was funny.) NEWAYZ "Can I see you again tomorrow?" Nick asked Lindsey. Lindsey looked down.
"Now, don't get mad or anything," Lindsey ordered, "but I'm going to the movies with Mich tomorrow."
"Mich?!?!" Nick exclaimed. "You were with her all night tonight! Why the fuck are you going to the movies with her tomorrow too?"
"We'v been planning this for a month now!" Lindsey shouted back. "It's hard enough getting her to go anywhere, considering the amount she works. She's always so tired after work. That's why we planned it a month in advance. So, at four o'clock, when she gets off work, we're going shopping, out for dinner and then to a movie." By this time, Lindsey was calm again, from explaining to Nick her reasoning.
"And what? This concert was a last minute decision?" Nick was obviously still angry.
"No," she answered calmly. "She got the tickets about 3 months ago, and no one has thought of it until this week." Nick's eyes popped open.
"Are you serious?" Lindsey nodded.
"And I think you are taking this opportunity to let that pent up emotion to escape a little overboard if you ask me." Nick seemed to actually consider this, then shrugged.
"I guess you're right," he admitted. "I'm sorry." Lindsey shrugged herself.
"It's alright," she told him. "Everybody needs to vent a bit. If you need someone to talk to, I'm willing to listen."
"Thanks," he said. He took a deep breath. "Well, let's get out of here before my voice goes up an octave and I start talking about feminine itching or something." Lindsey looked at him with a confused look on her face but said nothing. Nick walked out of the bathroom, Lindsey's hand tightly in his.
